| Classroom Opportunities through Distance Learning |

Through the County-wide Network Project, our district as well as many other schools throughout the county are now connected to a high speed network that opens up the doors to some exciting learning opportunities. Through such resources as Internet2 and our Polycom Distance Learning equipment, it is now possible for your class to take a field trip or participate in discussions with students anywhere in the world without leaving the building! Distance learning is not to take the place of a field trip that could otherwise be taken by your class, but rather gives you the chance take your students to places that would be impossible to visit or serves as an enhancement to a real trip that you have planned with your students. The following links are excellent starting points for planning a project with your students. Some of them carry a cost, but many are free. Please take some time to explore the possibilities and if you find something of interest, schedule a time that I can sit down with you and help you plan your project. The sky's the limit!!!!
